Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Weally ("we," "our," or "us") is a privacy-first sobriety and addiction recovery tracking application. Our app is designed so that your personal recovery data stays on your device and under your control.

2. What Data Stays on Your Device

The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device, encrypted with AES-256:

• Sobriety counters and check-in history
• Craving logs and triggers
• CBT thought records
• Journal entries and mood data
• Milestone progress
• Savings calculations
• App preferences and settings

We cannot access, read, or retrieve this data. There is no cloud sync, no backup to our servers, and no analytics pipeline that touches your recovery data. If you delete the app, this data is permanently gone.

3. What We Do Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the app:

Subscription data (via RevenueCat): If you subscribe to Weally Premium, our payment processor RevenueCat processes your transaction. RevenueCat receives:

• An anonymous device identifier
• Purchase receipts from Apple App Store or Google Play
• Subscription status (active, expired, cancelled)

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, recovery data, or any health information. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

Crash data (via platform): If the app crashes, your device's operating system (iOS or Android) may collect a standard crash report. This contains technical information about the crash (stack trace, device model, OS version) but never contains your recovery data, journal entries, or any personal health information.

4. Community Features

If you use Weally's community features, you choose what to share. Community posts and interactions are transmitted to our servers to enable the social experience. You are anonymous by default — no real name or identifying information is required. You can participate using any display name you choose.

5. What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data to anyone, ever
• We don't run analytics or tracking in the app
• We don't serve ads
• We don't build user profiles
• We don't share data with data brokers
• We don't use your data for AI training
• We don't require an account, email, or phone number

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Notification content and timing are never transmitted to our servers.

7. Data Export & Deletion

Export: You can export all your data as JSON or PDF at any time from Settings. This export stays on your device — we never receive a copy.

Deletion: You can delete all your data from Settings > Delete All Data. This is immediate and permanent. Uninstalling the app also permanently deletes all local data.

8. Children's Privacy

Weally is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us so we can address any concerns.

9. Law Enforcement

Because your recovery data is stored only on your device with AES-256 encryption, we are technically unable to produce it in response to any legal request. We don't have it. The only data we could potentially provide in response to a valid legal process is subscription status via RevenueCat (whether a device has an active subscription).

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you through the app before the changes take effect. We will never retroactively weaken your privacy protections.
